Saxophoniste, flûtiste, improvisatrice et compositrice, Léa Ciechelski est à l’initiative du quintet Franges (groupe lauréat jazz migration #11) et co-dirige les quartets Prospectus (avec Henri Peyrous, Julien Ducoin, Etienne Ziemniak) et Big Fish (avec Julien Soro, Gabriel Midon et Ariel Tessier), ainsi que le trio Meije (avec Vincent Duchosal et Benjamin François). Elle travaille une musique hybride héritée du jazz et teintée de musiques contemporaines et de pop expérimentale, nourrie d’improvisation et de discours musicaux aux desseins libres et instinctifs.
Elle rejoint le collectif 2035 et monte en 2023 le groupe-collectif Seïsmes6 avec Tatiana Paris, Yurie Hu, Melanie Loisel, Aline Bissey et Marine Fleche.
Elle est nommée artiste associée au Petit Faucheux en compagnie de Bo Van Der Werf pour les saisons 2023-2025. Ils montent ensemble le groupe Home Orchestra (avec Sarah Murcia, Jozef Dumoulin et Jonas Burgwinkel).
Léa fait partie de l’Orchestre National de Jazz de Sylvaine Hélary (programme With Carla Bley) depuis 2025.
Elle participe quelques années avant à l’Orchestre des Jeunes de l’Orchestre National de Jazz, de 2019 à 2021 (direction François Jeanneau, Franck Tortiller) et se produit avec l’ONJ de Frédéric Maurin (programmes Dancing in your Heads et Dracula).
Elle joue au sein du quintet Vaguent (Axel Gaudron) et du sextet d’Hélène Duret. Elle travaille également avec le Cirque Inextremiste (sur EXIT et PIC) qu’elle a rejoint en 2021, et avec le metteur en scène Eliakim Sénégas-Lajus sur la création pluridisciplinaire Vouloir Gagner (Théâtre au Corps).
Par le passé, Léa a fait partie de Surnatural Orchestra de 2020 à 2025, du quintet du guitariste d’Arthur Delaleu Circé (Capsul Collectif) de 2017 à 2023, du groupe tourangeau MOPA de 2016 à 2024.
Elle a aussi sorti 2 disque avec son premier quintet, kaplaa, actif de 2016 à 2023.
Elle a travaillé sur plusieurs créations pluridisciplinaires avec la metteuse en scène et musicienne Carla Siméon (Krisis, Devoir de Fille).

Her musical style is a hybrid of jazz and contemporary and experimental pop, nourished by improvisation and musical discourse with free and instinctive intentions.
She joined the 2035 collective in 2023, and she formed the collective Seïsmes6 with Tatiana Paris, Yurie Hu, Melanie Loisel, Aline Bissey, and Marine Fleche.
